In response to Brandy's comment, same thing happened to us. My husband usually pays the bills and he kept complaining about the late fees when he was sure he paid it on time. I don't know about the billing cycles changing but when we went to pay online the "default" date was different each time we did pay. My husband went to make an additional payment before the payment due date and found out that the system held in for payment on the due date. We wanted to make a payment so that it reduced the balance thus reduced the finance charge amount. Long story short I found the second time we paid the calendar date was different. I called them on it saying they were in my opinion were being deceptive and scamming consumers just to make an extra buck. of course they dropped all the late fees but it is still wrong. I'm planning on writing AAA and asking them if they would consider dropping Bank of America and using someone else.

Discover Sucks! Chase is my choice!! I got approved by Chase Freedom. Even though both Discover Open Road and Chase Freedom cards require "Excellent Credit" according to MyAwesomeCard.com, the fact that Discover declined me, and Chase approved me shows how flawed instant approval process is in judging applicant's credit qualification for a credit card, that's why Discover's losing more and more good customers like me, while Chase is growing at the expense of Discover.

I was pretty pissed off by Discover Open Road card because my application was declined. Even though the card has instant approval process, I was declined because "Collection: past and/or present delinquent credit obligation"...

AAA credit card kept changing payment terms (billing cycles) on me. In 2007 alone, I was charged $29 late fee for three times!! Once I had a balance of $320, I paid off $300 in the beginning of a billing cycle, after 20 days, I was charged $29 late fee! Shocked by the greed of the company, I called AAA and was told their billing cycle changed to the date 20 days after my last payment date. What's more, their website kept going off line, thus even if you try to pay off your bill on time, they don't allow you in many cases.
